how to get ultra-smooth geometry in C4D with splines and extrude nurbs
January 6th, 2010 · No Comments
change your Spline to Natural, and bump up the number of points significantly(200-250). The number of
points your deforming spline will affect the deformed object because it will be faceted/jagged
because there are not enough points. Next, go back to your ExtrudeNURBS object. In the Caps tab,
check the “Regular Grid” Box with the Type as Quadrangles. We set the Width to 5. Then on the Text
Object, change the Intermediate Points to Subdivided and the Angle to 1, and the Maximum Length 5m.
If the
primitives/ objects don’t have enough segments, they will be jagged. Up the segments (or group them and put
the null into a HyperNURBS).
